Scotty museum set to beam up fans
The birthplace of Scotty from Star Trek is to host an exhibition dedicated to the cult sci-fi character.
Linlithgow was one of four Scottish towns claiming to be the home of Scotty, famous for beaming colleagues up to the Starship Enterprise.
The West Lothian town’s claim was eventually confirmed by Star Trek script writer Dorothy C Fontana.
Linlithgow will now hold the exhibition to mark the second anniversary of the death of Scotty actor James Doohan.
The James Doohan Memorial Exhibition will open its doors to the public in Linlithgow’s Annet House museum on Friday 3 August.

That’s spitting distance from Edinburgh… less than 20 miles from the High Street. I have this grand plan to go back in a few years, when Z’s old enough to last the plane ride (I think 5 or 6). I can get my boxed set of the Bloomsbury version of all 7 books while I’m there.
