All hail Nutmeg The Devoted, beloved brother of Holly and son of Perilous, who lived a full, healthy, and very long life full of joy and naughtiness and died in his mother’s arms this morning, 21 November 2006, at the very ripe old age of three. He was the longest-lived male rat I’ve ever had.
He will be sorely missed. His presence was a light that made us warmer, and his loss leaves our world a little dimmer.
The memories he has left behind will shine on.
