Funny. I read the news maybe six hours a day on average, and yet somehow I never saw this story until right now.

Thankfully, it’s turned out to be a non-event. Still, I can’t help but believe that if this had been George Bush Sr. instead of Bill Clinton, it would have been all over the national media, and probably denounced by the White House as some kind of evil left wing plot.

As it is, it was reported almost exclusively in local media around the country. I dont even see CNN or Faux Gnus listed here. I can’t find this story on 1010 WINS, either, which actually does surprise me quite a bit. There’s a few national / international outlets, but compared to other stories or how this would have been reported if, for example, it had been Donald Rumsfeld or Rush Limbaugh who received such mail, this received almost no notice or attention at all. Almost as though it had been deliberately suppressed! Strange!

Maybe I’m being overly cynical. Maybe Bill Clinton or his office requested a low profile on the story. Maybe they asked for it to be kept quiet because they dont want the Republicans screaming about how it’s a setup by the evil librulz to derail the upcoming election. As if the Republicans aren’t derailing the election just fine all by themselves.

You know, I keep hearing and hearing about the “liberal media” and how left-leaning they all are, but for the life of me, I just can’t find any evidence of this at all. Hey! If anyone does happen to see this rare and wondrous creature, the liberal media, would you do me a solid and drop me a line and let me know where, so I can have a look for myself, would you? I bet theyre hanging out with those “activist judges” at a bar somewhere, smoking dope, watching home movies of Nessie, and shaving a bunch of hapless Yeti.

Prove me wrong! Show me all the national and international media that reported this story, or at least an explanation as to why it was such an utter non-event! Maybe I just completely missed it.
