We went to the Bronson Caves!
The caves are more like a forked tunnel that cuts through an area in Griffith Park. A single entrance goes to three exits, one of which is pretty tiny. The caves themselves are just 50 or 60 feet long, and come out into a small canyon which has been long used as an outdoor set for many a movie. A Google will give you a much more definitive synopsis of the film history of this little area than I can. It’s really pretty beautiful over there, though, and the people who hiked in the area were so incredibly friendly that I forgot for a minute I was in LA. Then I got mad again when I realized how damned easy it would be if they were that nice all the time, and not just when they’re hiking and nobody can see ‘em being pleasant.
It was a beautiful day for a short little hike and we had fun, even revisiting and filming a tiny movie which, as you’ll see when I get the stuff uploaded later, ended up in a violent mutiny against your erstwhile cinematographer.
Afterwards, we took a spin up to the planetarium observatory and a few more long distance photos that have an extra touch of magic to them, courtesy of the haze over the city today. We go to Santa Monica on Monday, and more pictures will be forthcoming at that time.
Then we went for a little car tour through LA, and took a couple of shots as best we could in the traffic. Then it was home again, home again…maybe gonna take a walk up the block and see if the little festival going on is still happening.
More tomorrow! :)

So, no pictures of you, eh? Sneaky. Great shots and I love Mu’s hair!
Posted 09 Oct 2005 at 06:36 ¶There’ll be pictures of me, since Mu and RatBastrd insist on taking them. :) It’s no doing of mine, I assure you!
As soon as I can get the other photos off their cameras I’ll post those too. Eventually there’ll be a single page with all the photos from this visit on it, and captions, and everything. There’s one photo of Rat and I in particular that Mu took at the observatory where I have a face on that I dont even remember making; I had to ask them if I always looked like that.
They laughed, but they didnt deny it. :P
And yeah, that hair totally suits her. Looks fantastic!
<3 to Nunu…
