President Gore <3<3

I just had a terribly emo moment. I am working on a job that involves the chronicling of the past one hundred years of warfare. You’ve heard of the show, but the NDC reminds me that if I told you, I’d have to kill you, and while I might be violently angry a lot of the time, I am by nature a pacifist.

Anyway, I was just sitting here, typing away, and burst into tears completely without warning. This doesnt happen to me often.

So, despite having an increasingly looming deadlineand getting very little work done against it, I decided it was high time to post some good news.

First the two links that me darlin’ Yaz was gracious enough to throw my way, which I found to be pretty awesome:

What Al Gore has been up to. Check out that ultra sexy picture. I never thought I’d have reason to say that about Al! These Democrats need to change their public political personas and relax a little. When theyre standing behind a podium, they have no fucking personality at all. Bunch of uptight zombies in blue suits. Gah.

No! No ranting! Good news only. Bad! Bad!

Second Yazalicious link:

Bill Clinton wakes the fuck up. And that’s all I’m gonna say about that, since I am loath to break the no ranting rule a second time in three sentences.

And possibly the best bit of good news: they repaired the levees yesterday and started pumping out New Orleans.

Right. Well, researching a good link for that last bit brought me face to face with a picture of a dog staring out of the broken screen door of an abandoned house in New Orleans, and so I’m right back where I started. Did anyone give him something to eat? Maybe they rescued him after they snapped the photo? Maybe his human has stayed behind with him. Is he okay? What’s his name? If he’s by himself, he must be lonely and frightened. I hope he makes it through okay. They didnt just take the picture and go away without checking if he was by himself, right? Right? I mean…who could do such a thing? The caption said the home was flooded, but he’s looking out of a door. Maybe he’s all right. He looks like such a good dog.

Dog looking out of a flooded home in New Orleans.

I want to take him home with me.

I hate this.
